A beard transplant is a unique procedure of hair restoration during which the specialist takes hair usually from the base of your scalp at the back and places in the face and chin recipient area using follicular unit extraction techniques (FUE) and tools.
Extracting and replanting 2,000 hairs one at a time is a just as delicate procedure as Hair Transplantation. It may be completed in 8-10-hour operation. For this, doctors give their patients an oral sedation, as well as local anesthesia around the head. Then, hair-units are then removed one at a time with FUE technique. Previously, doctors would remove a strip of skin with hair follicles, which used to cause noticeable scars across the back of the scalp. On the other hand, FUE technology, leaves tiny circular scars undetectable to the naked eye. Then, the doctor makes tiny incisions in the beard area that determine the direction, density, and angulation the hair will grow with; here the doctor’s skills will determine how natural your beard looks once it grows.
The post-surgery conditions, surely, vary from person to person depending upon various factors. You should expect these transplanted hairs to fall out after two or three weeks, but that’s not an issue: later they grow back permanently, but not until after three or four months. This happens because the body experiences mild shock from the relocation, but the papilla of hair remains in its new ‘home’, and will undoubtedly give birth to new strong hair after the regeneration.
